What We Do
We plan, develop and operate utility-scale renewable power generation facilities in the United States. Today we’re focused on providing a reliable, long-term source of solar and wind power to our market. Our job entails the coordination of a myriad of activities requiring perfect execution to achieve success. These activities include:
- Securing large tracts of land
- Conducting detailed analysis to determine the feasibility of our projects
- Filing applications for and securing a variety of project permits
- Securing buyers of our electricity
- Preparing engineering and construction plans
- Securing project financing
- Procuring the solar and/or wind technology best suited for our project(s)
- Constructing renewable power generation facility
- Operating renewable energy facilities
LightBeam Energy is fulfilling its responsibility to our employees, sub-contractors, electricity buyers and other large electricity users to provide long term value and stability in meeting their energy needs. For example, in response to demand for our services to agribusiness we recently formed LightBeam Agripower LLC. By employing our own approach to developing, engineering, constructing and operating solar and wind power, which we call Agripower Direct, we are able to improve the productivity of our solar and wind assets and offer our electricity to our customers at highly competitive prices now and in the future.
In early 2011 we were approached by a large maritime company to help them to introduce a new approach to converting their consumption of various sources of fuel to solar and wind energy. This involved a collaboration between their engineers and ours evaluating new ways to configure renewable energy assets. During our work we designed a highly durable canopy structure, applying modular design principles, that may be easily configured to virtually any ships unique surface structural design.
We are also in the process of establishing partnering relationships with several marine retail and distribution companies to provide greater reach into this new and growing market.
As a result of our work on this project we have recently formed LightBeam Maritime Renewable Energy LLC to pursue opportunities in this expansive global market.
As our awareness of the serious impact global climate change is having on our environment has grown we have committed ourselves to transitioning our supply of electricity to renewable sources. In other words, we’re not simply talking about it, we’re doing something about it.
